A GROUP called Lesbians and Gays Support the Migrants (LGSMigrants) held a surprise creative action protest outside the Home Office on Saturday 21st November to call for open borders.
LGSMigrants describe themselves as: “A group of queer activists, who creatively challenge the right-wing media narrative around migrants and to stand in solidarity with migrants entering the UK.”
Their logo features the phrase “Borders = Death” and their hashtag is #NoBordersNoBigots.
They chose the Home Office for their performance protest as they see it as a symbol of Britain’s border enforcement.
Protesters took turns to write messages on a cardboard “brick wall”. Others held banners which read: “Lesbians and Gays supports the migrants” and “Hola Migrants, Adios Borders”. Some protestors wore Nigel Farage, Boris Johnson and David Cameron masks while a very active drag queen Home Secretary “Theresa May” conducted the event.
